Job Summary:

The Channel Marketing Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of marketing for a specific Channel within the organization.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities (up to 7)

  • Be responsible for developing, driving and implementing channel marketing activity for selected groups of channel partners.
  • Developing and overseeing the marketing plan for specific channels within the organization.
  • Implementing channel campaigns in order to expand market share and pursue aggressive growth targets.
  • Work closely with all aspects of the business to gather product and channel insights.
  • Work closely with the product and corporate marketing teams you will support brand development and experiential activities.
  • Utilize data and distributor insights to provide recommendations to drive category distribution and market share
  • Understand changing and differing priorities depending on territories and how these impact channel marketing


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required in Business, Finance, Marketing, or equivalent discipline. MBA strongly preferred.
  • 5 years previous experience working as a channel marketing manager
  • Past experience managing marketing budgets ideally within a channel marketing setting
  • A strong understanding of the distribution channels for the industry
  • Project management experience would be a definite advantage
  • The ability to manage small teams of people and influence senior staff is essential.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP Systems. Adobe Suite are an asset.
  • Broad understanding of strategic planning, business development, sales, marketing finance, operations, project management and product engineering
  • Excellent communication - verbal, spoken and written, presentation, influencing and facilitating skills, strong technical negotiation and interpersonal skills as a consensus builder and leader
  • Evidence of strategic thinking, planning and project management skills; ability to thrive in a dynamic, time sensitive and collaborative environment
  • Sound knowledge of business and management principles and practices
  • Forecasting monthly sales and planning for manufacturing
  • Energetic, positive, honest, approachable, team player and able to work independently
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, organization and communication skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
  • Proven leadership and ability to motivate and inspire a team to achieve results by influence
