Essential Duties and Responsibilities (up to 7)

  • Analyze new and existing production orders

  • Assigning production jobs to work stations and coordinate process operations

  • Assign start date/time and end date/time for production jobs and process operations

  • Coordinate between shop floor personnel and planning departments to ensure timely completion of production jobs

  • Expedite and adjust work schedules to meet customer demands

  • Analyze on hand inventory levels against production orders and place purchase orders within

    purchasing authority; support the scheduling of inbound materials to ensure purchased

    materials are delivered on time for production; expedite materials as needed

  • Monitor material quality issues; work with Quality and suppliers to discuss defective or

    unacceptable goods or services.

  • Obtain supplier corrective action responses and disposition

    material within a timely manner.

  • Work with Operations, Shipping/Receiving, Engineering and Sales to ensure purchased materials

    meet specifications for production and customer requirements. Obtain deviations as needed.

  • May mentor or lead a team of less experienced purchasing personnel.


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree Supply Chain/Operations mgt preferred.

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of prior experience with production scheduling, manufacturing experience preferred

  • Proficiency with manufacturing scheduling systems; MRP/ERP systems

  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner

  • APICS certification preferred.
