The Inside Sales Manager drives and maintains the highest level of customer satisfaction in every area of the business. This position plays a fundamental role in achieving customer acquisition and growth objectives. The Inside Sales Manager is the voice of the customer and as such is responsible for handling customer communication including but not limited to order entry, quote review and submission, pricing, lead qualification and management, customer scorecard management quality control documentation, service issues and internal communication necessary to provide customers and the broader Metalex organization with timely and accurate feedback.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (up to 7)

  • Provide strategy, leadership and direction for an inside sales and customer service organization; drive profitable and sustainable growth objectives among the team; provide support and technical assistance when necessary
  • Develop and implement proper performance metrics for sales objectives and sales team performance; report on revenue, margin, pipeline etc. statistics to plant, management and executive leadership; hold team accountable
  • Build, grow, and maintain relationships with key customers;  collect, compile and act on Voice of the Customer data through quarterly business reviews and   monthly scorecard management
  • Drive strategic plans for organic and market growth to successful completion; develop a robust sales pipeline with qualified leads and prospects
  • Participate on cross functional teams to ensure customer objectives are communicated
  • Facilitate business development and new market initiatives based on company strategic objectives

 

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Two (2) to seven (7) years' experience in a direct selling position; manufacturing preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a timely manner
  • Excellent customer service skills
